Abalone

The shell of the abalone is known for being very strong. Nacre is the iridescent material thickly lining the shells of abalone, that is where the strength of the shell comes from.  The Abalone shell is made of very tiny calcium carbonate tiles stacked like bricks. The colorful inside part of the abalone shell can be used for decorative inlays, in guitars, for example.  In the metaphysical world, abalone is thought to overcome despondency, insecurity and disappointment and bring peace and harmony.
