This beautiful Agate Geode Bowl is very amazing. The rough exterior of the agate can be seen on the sides of the bowl while the top surface and inner bowl are highly polished.  This agate geode bowl has good translucency and color and displays hues that are predominantly yellow, blue, and white. This large stone bowl measures 9 x 8.5 x 2.5 inches and weighs 12 pounds.

The agate is a rock consisting primarily of cryptocrystalline silica, chiefly chalcedony, alternating with microgranular quartz. Agate is characterized by its fineness of grain and variety of color. Agate is a 6.5-7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Although agates may be found in various kinds of the host rock, they are classically associated with volcanic rocks and can be common in certain metamorphic rocks.
