Angel Aura Quartz is produced when clear Quartz points or clusters go through a special treatment process in which their surfaces are bonded with vaporized or finely powdered platinum, silver or other trace metals. The resulting crystals exhibit silvery surfaces with flashes of brilliant iridescent color. The name Angel Aura Quartz derives from this color's likeness to images of gossamer wings of angels. Other names are ‘Unicorn Aura’ or ‘Opal Aura. On the Mohs scale it is at a 7 and Angel Aura Quartz can be found in Brazil, Madagascar, and United States. Metaphysically, Angel Aura is thought to be calming, purifying and uplifting as well as reaching deeper stages of meditation and connecting with Angels.

Drusy (or druzy) is a geological term applied to quartz that forms a layer of closely spaced, small crystals that line a surface or cavity of another kind of rock.  Drusy quartz, silicon dioxide, is most commonly clear or whitish and can resemble glittering sugar or snow crystals.  Drusy occurs within geodes and lines the walls and cavities within the hollows and veins of rocks.
