Breciated Jasper Sphere 5.5”

Brecciated Jasper Sphere measuring 5.5"and weighing 7 lbs is a handsome and substantial display piece perfect for any home or office décor.  Brecciated Jasper Sphere is a high gloss polished sphere of colorful brecciated jasper featuring golden yellow jasper but also has shades of tan, brown, red, orange, blue, and yellow. Weighs 7.2 lbs. Measures 120mm in diameter. 

Jasper is the opaque variety of the mineral chalcedony, which is the microcrystalline version of quartz. Jasper has been utilized for thousands of years by various cultures to make stone tools because of its conchoidal (shell like) fracture. Brecciated jasper occurs when the original jasper is broken up and then more jasper, often of a different color, re-cements the original material creating a coherent whole. 

Jasper has been utilized by various cultures as a stone of protection, it holds an aspect of solar energy and a connection to the solar plexus chakra. It is said to protect against negativity and helps one to be grounded in the stabilizing energies of the earth.
