Helmet Shell

An attractive shell with a distinctive shape resembling an old battle helmet making it a great centerpiece to any fossil or shell collection. Measuring approximately 7” L x 5” W x 5.5” H.

Helmet shell, any marine snail of the family Cassidae (subclass Prosobranchia, class Gastropoda), characterized by a large, thick shell with a shieldlike inner lip. Helmet shells have a very solid, heavy, rotund shell with large, horn-like knobs and a wide, flat base. The shell has a dorsally pale orange color, its base vivid orange, faintly marked with white and brown. 

Shells stimulates intuition, sensitivity, imagination, and adaptability. It helps to enhance mental clarity and provides insight into decision-making. People have incorporated shells into ceremonies and rituals commemorating the most profound moments of their lives; these shells may have called to mind a spiritual experience, or the elemental force of birth or mysteries of death.
