This one of a kind piece features the unique combination of the fibrous zeolite mineral okenite that has formed within a transparent calcite crystal and polished into a column for a nice display piece. Found in India. (Price has been reduced by $150 due to a crack on the side of the calcite).

Okenite is a silicate mineral that is usually associated with zeolites. It most commonly is found as small white "cotton ball" formations within basalt geodes. These formations are clusters of straight, radiating, fibrous crystals that are both bendable and fragile. Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. It is a very common mineral, particularly as a component of limestone. Calcite defines hardness 3 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness, based on scratch hardness comparison. Calcite is one of the most common minerals on earth. It occurs in a great variety of shapes and colors such as transparent, white, yellow, brown, orange, pink, red, purple, blue, green, gray, and black.  Its acicular (needle like) crystals appear in clusters that often resemble mold or sea anemones.

Okenite stimulates the crown chakra and is a crystal of purification. Okenite initiates healing and recognition of one's karmic debts. Okenite helps uncover unconscious thoughts and feelings that are no longer self-serving assisting one to see the truth of a situation. Calcite is believed to help amplify thought, improve memory, and increase intellectual capacity.
