Peruvian Opal Sphere 80mm

This sphere is slightly larger than 3" in diameter and has various tones of greens, yellows, and browns.

The internal structure of precious opal causes it to diffract light resulting in play-of-color. Depending on the conditions when it formed, opal may be transparent, translucent, or opaque, and the background color could be nearly any color of the visual spectrum. Opal is thought to increase emotional activity and awaken the sexual center in the body.

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item is a unique stone that is non-fabricated. Slight variations in color, size and shape may exist.
