Pyrite from Peru

Jaw dropping all natural large Pyrite specimen from Peru. Large (4 inches on edge) pyrite cubes form a cluster that is accented by clusters of smaller pyrite cubes. Heavy striations and varying orientations of the crystals create a complex and visually stunning display piece. Specimen measures 8 x 5 x 4 inches. Weighs 8.5 lbs.

The mineral pyrite, also known as “fool's gold”, is an iron sulfide. Pyrite's metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue gives it a resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname “fool's gold”. The cubic shape of pyrite crystals is naturally forming.

Pyrite is thought to encourage self-recognition, as well as reveal secrets and memories. Pyrite has a connection to the solar plexus chakra and is used to increase strength, energy, willpower, and confidence. It's also a wonderful abundance stone, encouraging wealth, prosperity, and success. In addition, pyrite can help to release negative energy and fears, including fears that may be blocking success.

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item uses a unique stone that is non-fabricated.  Every item at Crystal Joys is truly "one of a kind". Slight variations in color, size and bead shape exist.
