Shungite Buddha

Shungite is a deep-black, non-crystalline mineral consisting of more than 98 percent carbon.  It was first described from a deposit near Shunga village, in Karelia, Russia, from where it gets its name. Shungite has been used since the 18th-century to purify water, and people still follow that practice today. In the metaphysical world, shungite is thought to have detoxifying and purifying benefits.
