These beautiful and rare Large Grape Willemite Specimens are from the Franklin Mine, New Jersey. Willemite is a zinc silicate mineral that can fluoresce (glow) when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light. It is often found in association with other fluorescent minerals such as franklinite and calcite. The term "grape" is likely being utilized to describe the appearance of the specimen, as it may resemble clusters of grapes. Willemite fluorescence varies from green to yellow, depending on the wavelength of the UV light and the impurities present in the specimen.
