The Twelve Precious Stones of Revelations
The Twelve Precious Stones of Revelations were worn on the breastplate of Aaron. They came from the Mountain of God, the same place where Moses was given the Ten Commandments. These stones are said to be representative of the twelve apostles of Jerusalem. They were placed on his breastplate in four rows of three, and each stone has their own special metaphysical properties
They are: Ruby, Topaz, Emerald, Turquoise, Sapphire, Diamond, Jacinth, Agate, Amethyst, Beryl, Onyx, and Jasper.
PROPERTIES:
RUBY: Promotes loving, nurturing, health, knowledge and wealth. It has been associated with improved energy and concentration, creativity, loyalty, honor and compassion. Ruby is thought to be protective of home, possessions and family. Ruby is said to stimulate heart chakra and bring spiritual wisdom while shielding against psychic attacks.
TOPAZ: A mellow, empathic stone that soothes, heals, recharges and re-centers its wearers. Associated with compassion and communication, it's a preferred stone to wear for building bridges between people. Topaz is often used to strengthen emotional support, stabilizing the emotions and making the wearer receptive to love from every source. It is believed to unburden the soul of arrogance and calmly verbalize in emotional situations.
EMERALD: Believed to be encouraging, calming and balancing because of its color. They are thought to promote creativity and restore optimistic hope in dreams and visions. They are thought to bring good fortune and are often seen in the cash boxes of business owners who seek to prosper in their endeavors.
TURQUOISE: Is the stone of communication. It encourages enthusiasm, thus inspiring new projects and bringing to light undiscovered artistic abilities. Turquoise also provides understanding and encourages attention to detail while attracting prosperity and success.
SAPPHIRE: Said to be the wisdom stone, stimulating concentration, enhancing creativity and promoting purity and depth of thought.
It is believed to focus and calm the mind as well as remove unwanted thoughts, depression and mental tension. It is known as the stone of new love and commitment and is claimed to be useful in encouraging faithfulness and loyalty. Sapphire is thought to bring peace of mind, serenity and prosperity.
DIAMOND: They represent faithfulness, purity and innocence. It is thought to be the gemstone of the intellect, preventing misunderstandings (romantic and otherwise). Diamond is also believed to provide clarity of thought, encouraging the resolution of problems which comes with clear understanding.
JACINTH: Jacinth is thought to help one be more at peace with oneself. It is believed to provide the wearer with wisdom, honor and riches. The loss of luster on a Jacinth stone is said to warn of danger. Jacinth helps rising one's self-esteem.
AGATE: Commonly used to improve attention to detail, increase positivity and waken your sense of adventure. Agates were used in ancient times as talismans to protect the wearer from storms, to quench thirst and to bring good luck.
AMETHYST: this stone has been believed to have the power to quell a range of physical appetites and indulgences. This sobering effect is also believed to clarify mental acuity, improving the decision-making ability of those who wear it. This made it a popular choice for giving to young men--helping them avoid temptation and keeping them clear-minded when using weapons. Amethyst is often used during meditation to provide an overall sense of spiritual balance.
BERYL: It was viewed as a healing stone in ancient Greece, where precious beryl was dipped into drinking water and that water was drunk to remove kidney stones and bladder ailments. Beryl is also believed to help locate lost property and in divination.
ONYX: Is thought by some to have protective qualities, making it advantageous to carry when traveling. It is said to be useful in fighting basic fears and helping to move beyond bad relationships, as well as to heal old emotional wounds.
JASPER: Jasper is regarded as a gemstone that gives a sense of well-being, intensifying that feeling. Also a stone of gentleness and relaxation, Jasper's rich colors blend and complement each other so well for a complete sense of wholeness.
