Vibrant Sphalerite, sparking Galena, and delicate Calcite combine in this specimen full of color and texture. This specimen is from the Shuikoushan Ore Fields in China. 

Sphalerite is a zinc sulfide mineral. It is found in metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks in many parts of the world. Sphalerite is the most commonly encountered zinc mineral and the world's most important ore of zinc.

Sphalerite allows one to immediately recognize the peril of a situation, and to balance the benefits and detriments of that situation prior to concluding or continuing one's part. It can also provide for the growth of one's psychic abilities and to encourage one to "be one's own psychic".

Galena, also called lead glance, is the natural mineral form of lead(II) sulfide. It is the most important ore of lead and an important source of silver. Galena is one of the most abundant and widely distributed sulfide minerals. It crystallizes in the cubic crystal system often showing octahedral forms.
