Oco Geode pendant with Druzy Accent

Beautiful Druzy Agate Oco Geode Slice pendants accentuated with an additional druzy stone. Hand-crafted by a female-owned company in Soledade, Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil. The Agate slice is plated in sterling silver, the druzy stone is in a sterling silver bezel setting. The druzy stone measures about .5", the agate slice measures 1"-2", overall together the pendant measures to approximately 2"-3.5"

A geode is a round rock which contains a hollow cavity lined with crystals and is rated between 6.5 and 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. What is so special about Geodes? These rocks are completely filled with small compact crystal formations such as agate, jasper or chalcedony that are called nodules. The only difference between a geode and a nodule is that a geode has a hollow cavity, and a nodule is solid. Geodes are metaphysically believed to be powerful crystals for good luck, spiritual growth, and are often utilized in meditation.

Agate is a rock consisting primarily of cryptocrystalline silica, chiefly chalcedony, alternating with microgranular quartz. Agate is characterized by its fineness of grain and variety of color. Agate is a 6.5-7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Although agates may be found in various kinds of host rock, they are classically associated with volcanic rocks and can be common in certain metamorphic rocks. Metaphysically, it is believed that Agate enhances mental function, improves concentration, enhances perception, and analytical abilities.

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item uses a unique stone that is non-fabricated.  Every item at Crystal Joys is truly "one of a kind". Slight variations in color, size and bead shape exist.
