Turquoise Rough Sterling Silver Pendant

This green/blue turquoise pendant is made with a Turquoise cabochon stone set in setting silver. 

Turquoise is an opaque, blue-to-green stone that is considered rare. It is rated between 5 and 6 on the Mohs hardness scale due to its mineral composition that is a hydrated phosphate of copper/aluminum. The word turquoise dates to the 17th century and comes from the French turquois for "Turkish" because the mineral was first brought to Europe through Turkey. Turquoise is thought metaphysically to harmonize, protect, and help to recognize causes of emotions.
