Crocoite Specimen (7” x 6.5”)

This exceptionally large specimen of bright red slender crocoite needles covers the host rock in crystals. From the area of Tasmania that is world renowned for Crocoite specimens.

Crocoite has a hardness of 2.5 to 3, is a lead chromate mineral that is red or red-orange, and sometimes yellow with a monoclinic crystal system. Crocoite can be found in Tasmania, Australia, but it has also been found in the Ural Mountains of Russia. Crocoite metaphysically is a helpful stone for making breakthroughs, especially for those whose most enthusiastic pursuit is the realization of enlightenment.
