Azurite with Malachite Rough 1"

Azurite with Malachite stones measure up to 1 inch and are a fantastic specimens with brilliant colors of blue and green.  Azurite with Malachite stones are great for the novice collector and are small enough to keep with you at all times.

Azurite is a soft stone, named for its deep “azure blue” color. It is a copper carbonate mineral found in the upper oxidized portions of copper ore formed in masses, nodules, tabular or prismatic crystals, sometimes with a vitreous luster.

Malachite is a deep-green mineral with darker green rings when polished. The rings come from a botryoidal (grape-like) growth structure when polished down. In ancient Egypt, the color green was associated with new life and fertility. 

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item uses a unique stone that is non-fabricated.  Every item at Crystal Joys is a true "one of a kind". Slight variations in color, size, and stone shape exist.
