Quartz Point with Green Tourmaline Various Sizes

These specimens are made up of a Clear quartz point with inclusions of green tourmaline crystals growing inside the quartz.  They range in shapes and sizes, from 1.5" to 4" with various amounts of points. The deep green tourmaline can be clearly seen, creating a lovely and intricate design inside the quartz. A quartz crystal point is a natural crystal formed from the mineral quartz. It is typically a six-sided prism with a pointed tip, and can range in size from small to large. 

Clear quartz is one of the most abundant minerals in the world and is rated at a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. It can be found in many forms such as tumbled, carved and rough. It can develop in a wide range of environments and can be found on every continent. Clear quartz is thought metaphysically to promote understanding, clarity, and is associated with inner strength.

Tourmaline is a crystalline boron silicate mineral compounded with elements such as aluminum, iron, magnesium, sodium, lithium, or potassium. Tourmaline is classified as a semi-precious stone and is rated between 7 and 7.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Tourmaline metaphysically is believed to balance the right-left sides of the brain along with being associated with imagination and dreams.

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item is a unique stone that is non-fabricated. Slight variations in color, size and shape may exist.
