Tanzanite is the blue and violet variety, cautilized by small amounts of vanadium, of the mineral zoisite belonging to the epidote group. Tanzanite is only found in Tanzania, in a very small mining area near the Mirerani Hills and is rated at a 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Metaphysically, Tanzanite is thought to help solve questions related to the meaning of life and is associated with vocation and orientation.
Moldavite is found in the Bohemian plateau of the Czech Republic and has a hardness score of 5.5-7. It is seen in shades of green. It is a member of the Tektite group, a glassy, deep green mixture of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide and other metal oxides, with an amorphous crystal system. It is known as a sacred stone. It was found in altar amulets from 25000 BCE and has been linked in legend to the fabled Stone of the Holy Grail. It was believed in Czech folklore to guide one to one’s destiny and to help one find and preserve true love.
It is a transformation stone of rapid spiritual evolution. It cleanses and protects as well as helps chakra activation. Moldavite supports attunement of the body to its highest level of function, opens the heart, inspires one to fulfill one’s highest destiny, and catalyzes multiple and very powerful spiritual awakenings. It is associated with all chakras, especially Heart and Third-eye.
