Mimetite is a lead arsenate chloride mineral which forms as a secondary mineral in lead deposits, usually by the oxidation of galena and arsenopyrite. The name derives from the Greek mimetes, meaning "imitator" and refers to mimetite's resemblance to the mineral pyromorphite. This resemblance is not coincidental, as mimetite forms a mineral series with pyromorphite and with vanadinite. According to metaphysical practitioners, mimetite encourages the spirit of adventure, helps to accept responsibilities, reduces the need to imitate others, and enhances clarity and accuracy while channeling.

Smithsonite, also known as zinc spar, is the mineral form of zinc carbonate. Historically, smithsonite was identified with hemimorphite before it was realized that they were two different minerals. The two minerals are very similar in appearance and the term calamine has been utilized for both, leading to some confusion. The distinct mineral smithsonite was named in 1832 by Francois Sulpice Beudant in honor of English chemist and mineralogist James Smithson (c.1765–1829), who first identified the mineral in 1802. Smithsonite is an excellent stone utilized for the relief of tension and stress; both physical and emotional. For those at their breaking point, or on the verge of a mental breakdown, smithsonite's gentle presence can help by acting as a stone of tranquility.
