Perhaps the first kind of quartz that collectors learn about are quartz known as Japan law twins. They are sometimes said to look like rabbit ears. The name (Japan Law) comes from the exceptionally high end quartz twin specimens from the Otome mining district (Kinpuzan district), Japan, which reached Europe in 1895, even though this mineral was discovered earlier in La Gardette, France and called La Gardette Law Twin. 

The Japan Law Twin Quartz can be recognized by the configuration of a penetration twin. It has also been utilized to stimulate the synthesis of the perfection of the subtle bodies to the state of the physical body, bringing an awareness of the disparity and correcting the differences such that perfection is initiated. It is an excellent formation for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure.
