Each specimen was mined in Imilchil, High Atlas Mountains, Morocco! They feature a wonderful combination of Calcite, Hematite & Quartz Crystal.

Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. The Mohs scale of mineral hardness, based on scratch hardness comparison, defines value 3 as "calcite". How is calcite formed? Calcite can form by direct precipitation from waters rich in calcium. As concentrations increase or the amount of water decreases crystals of solid calcite crystals form. Calcite can also form in caves and where springs emerge on the surface Calcite metaphysically is believed to amplify thought, improve memory, and promote development.

Hematite, also spelled as haematite, is the mineral form of iron oxide. Hematite is the oldest known iron oxide mineral that has ever formed on earth, and is widespread in rocks and soils. Hematite is colored black to steel, silver-gray, brown to reddish brown, or red and is rated between 5.5 and 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Hematite is metaphysically referred to as a grounding stone, thought to help to develop will power, and often utilized for dream work.

Quartz is the second most abundant mineral in Earth's continental crust, behind feldspar, and is rated at a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Since antiquity, varieties of quartz have been the most commonly utilized minerals in the making of jewelry and hardstone carvings, especially in Eurasia. Metaphysically, Quartz is thought to balance the aura, electromagnetic energy, and is associated with all chakras as a cleansing stone.
