Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable polymorph of calcium carbonate. The Mohs scale of mineral hardness, based on scratch hardness comparison, defines value 3 as "calcite". How is calcite formed? Calcite can form by direct precipitation from waters rich in calcium. As concentrations increase or the amount of water decreases crystals of solid calcite crystals form. Calcite can also form in caves and where springs emerge on the surface. Calcite metaphysically is believed to amplify thought, improve memory, and promote development.

Stibnite is a sulfide mineral and is a 2 on the Mohs scale. This soft grey material crystallizes in an orthorhombic space group. The name is derived from the Greek στίβι stibi through the Latin stibium as the former name for the mineral and the element antimony. Small deposits of Stibnite are common, but large deposits are rare. Stibnite can be found in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Japan, China, Germany, Romania, Italy, France, England, Algeria, and Kalimantan, Borneo. In the United States it is found in Arkansas, Idaho, Nevada, California, and Alaska. Metaphysically, Stibnite is said to be a very strong transformation stone that activates and helps align all chakras. Stibnite has been known metaphysically to bring wealth, prosperity, abundance
