Goethite is an iron hydroxide mineral with an orthorhombic crystal system and a hardness of 5 to 5.5. Its color is blackish brown, yellowish brown or reddish brown. Fine Goethite crystals have been discovered in Cornwall, England, and Pikes Peak, Colorado. Goethite metaphysically is a stone for going deep within, for finding the link between the self and the Earth.
