Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of quartz. It is a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow or orange. Ametrine is said to be the complete balance of the properties of amethyst and citrine. As a stone of both balance and connection, ametrine is believed to relieve tension, bring serenity and stimulate creativity, as well as balance mental stability and self-confidence.

Unakite is an altered granite composed of pink orthoclase feldspar, green epidote, and generally colorless quartz. Unakite can be found as pebbles or cobbles from glacial drift in the beach rock on the shores of Lake Superior and is rated between 6 and 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. Unakite is thought to metaphysically activate mobility for those with distinct goals and help balance “over active” will.

Tourmalated or Toumalined Quartz is clear quartz with Black Tourmaline running through it.  Quartz can range from very clear to cloudy. Tourmalated Quartz is most often found in Brazil.  Tourmalated Quartz is thought to be protective and purifying of one's aura. It may also help overcome self destructive patterns.
