Labradorite is a plagioclase feldspar with a triclinic crystal structure. It is treasured for its remarkable play of color (labradorescence), which shows vivid flashes of green, blue, gold, orange, red, and sometimes violet. It is from Canada, Madagascar, and the US. It has a hardness score of 6-6.5. Legend has it that the Northern Lights were once stuck inside rocks on the Canadian coast until a brave warrior freed most of them by hitting the rocks with a spear. Inuits once called labradorite a "fire stone" and would use powdered forms to help cure ailments.

It amplifies the effects of healing prayers and affirmations, aids in doing “inner work” to root out old negative patterns, and enhances psychic abilities; increases capacity to perceive with the inner eye; useful for magic rituals and psychic protection. Labradorite is known for its changing colors, so it is no surprise this gemstone is known as a stone of transformation, enhancing strength of will and inner worth. It is useful for people who are overworked. It is associated with all chakras.

Each piece is similar, though no item at Crystal Joys is exactly the same as every item uses a unique stone that is non-fabricated.  Every item at Crystal Joys is truly "one of a kind". Slight variations in color, size and bead shape exist.
