Jasper is an aggregate of microgranular quartz and/or chalcedony. Jasper is opaque, unlike agate which you can shine a light thru. Jasper can come in a wide variety of colors but the most common are reds, yellows, browns or greens, and occasionally blue. Jasper is generally associated with inner peace, harmony, tranquility, and gentleness.
