Mini Pyrite Cube on Matrix 1.5"

These are incredibly unique Mini Pyrite Cubes on a Matrix. These are gorgeous pieces of Pyrite that formed in a perfect cube structure on this Matrix. These Pyrite Cubes on Matrix measure approximately 1.5-inches and are a truly unique way of displaying Pyrite. These Mini Pyrite Cubes are truly one-of-a-kind and would be a lovely addition to any collection!! 

 Pyrite occurs almost exclusively in cubic form and very rarely in cubo-octahedral crystals. Also pyritohedra. Some specimens with beveled edges also come from Navajún, Spain.  Navajún is a town in the province and autonomous community of La Rioja, Spain.

The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, also known as fool's gold, is an iron sulfide. Pyrite is considered the most common of the sulfide minerals and is rated between 6 and 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Pyrite's metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool's gold. Metaphysically Pyrite is believed to encourage self-recognition, as well as reveal secrets and memories.
