Dendritic Agate is a translucent, colorless whitish-gray variety of chalcedony quartz. It is known for its distinct branch-like dendrite inclusions in brown or black, which are made up of iron oxide or manganese.  Considered to be one of the rarer and more sought-after varieties of Agates, Dendritic Agate is technically not a 'true agate' since it lacks the typical banding of other Agates.
