Pyrite Raw XL Cube (7” x 8”)

This specimen is an outstanding extra large pyrite cube from Peru. Specimen is all natural and has not been cut or modifyed in any way. By far one of the largest individual pyrite cubes that we have ever seen and would make a centerpiece to any serious collection. Measures 7" x 8" inches. 

The mineral pyrite, or iron pyrite, also known as fool's gold, is an iron sulfide. Pyrite is considered the most common of the sulfide minerals and is rated between 6 and 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale. Pyrite's metallic luster and pale brass-yellow hue give it a superficial resemblance to gold, hence the well-known nickname of fool's gold. Metaphysically Pyrite is believed to encourage self-recognition, as well as reveal secrets and memories.
