Quartz w/ Fluorite and Arsenopyrite-China 4” x 4”

High quality display specimen features a five mineral combo with each mineral species represented in nice sharp crystals with pleasing color combo. Euhedral quartz crystals are gemmy, undamaged, and arranged in an attractive cluster. Emplanted upon the quartz is silvery arsenopyrite, sharp brassy yellow chalcopyrite, blue fluorite cubes, as well as accessory mica crystals. From China and measuring 5" x 4" x 4".  

Clear quartz is one of the most abundant minerals in the world and is rated at a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale. It can be found in many forms such as tumbled, carved and rough. It can develop in a wide range of environments and can be found on every continent. Clear quartz is thought metaphysically to promote understanding, clarity, and is associated with inner strength.

Fluorite, also called fluorspar when massive, is the mineral form of calcium fluoride. Fluorite belongs to the halide minerals and crystallizes in the isometric cubic habit. The Mohs scale of mineral hardness, based on scratch hardness comparison, defines value 4 as Fluorite. Fluorite is thought to enhance spiritual vision and understanding while aiding in healing.

Arsenopyrite is an arsenic bearing variety of iron sulfide (pyrite) which occurs in heavy metallic crystals with an iridescent rainbow tarnish. Arsenopyrite has the distinctive property of smelling like garlic when scratched. Arsenopyrite bestows inner warmth and lifts the spirits, and balances all chakras, leaving behind a golden glow. It activates the lower three Chakras, thereby strengthening self-confidence, motivation and drive, and instilling a sense of empowerment, and can also help to stimulate the libido.
